Annual Quilting Retreat

October 23-25

A Unique Retreat Experience

The annual quilting retreat has come and gone. Our dining lodge was overhauled and replaced with fabric, sewing machines, and a different sort of hustle and bustle then we usually experience here. Nevertheless, despite the different programming taking place it was a beneficial time as a group of women got to set aside chores, groceries and laundry for a weekend and focus on something they love. The slower pace and focus also cultivated an environment for God’s voice to be heard through prayers, conversations, and silence. The host of the retreat, Judith Cornwell was sick and could not attend but that did not stop the quilters from seeing her. After each creating a patterned square they stitched them together into a runner, signed it and brought it over to her. We are thankful for the group of women who could show up and look forward to hosting them again in the future.
