New Staff Updates

 Following God’s Leading

Each new season that comes brings new changes to the Camp Bighorn ministry and this year is no different. As many of you know, earlier this year Tory Albertson stepped down as Executive Director of Camp Bighorn. While a search process was undertaken Tom Collins stepped in to fill the interm-role as Executive Director. While the end of that process has been completed for some time, there has been no official post about the staff changes that have taken place. Here is a quick update about the new staff and changes that have taken place over the 2009 year.

Luke and Andrea Underhill, previously working as Program Directors have stepped in to fill the Executive Director position with Camp Bighorn. Both were graduates of Prairie Bible College’s Explore program and took part in the 2-year internship that partners closely with Camp Bighorn. They have been married for three years and have spent those years working in the Program department.

The hole left in the Program Director role has been filled by Josh Vandermeer, also a graduate of the Explore program. Josh had previously been working on the program team, focusing on facilitation skills and ropes course programming.

Reuben Stratford has left his position as Administrative Director to begin work on Journey, a new college based program of Bighorn ministries. There is still a lot of work to be done to make this program a reality, but Reueben is excited about the opportunity to connect with more colleges in the future. For more info, contact Reuben Stratford.

To fill his shoes, Jeremy and Sarah Freeman were hired and brought on board as the new Administrative Directors. They have been married for one-year and are excited to step into the Bighorn community and have a specific desire to share the stories of what is happening here at Camp Bighorn through publications, brochures, and the web page. Jeremy recently graduated from Prairie with his Bachelor of Arts in Ministry: Major in Outdoor Leadership while Sarah graduated from the same school with a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies.

We hope that helps provide a brief update on what is happening here with our staff. If you are interested in hearing more about our staff, or are interested in joining on staff give us a call. We would love to connect with you. In the near future we will be posting a “Job posting” indicating the specific roles we are hoping to fill in the next year.
