There’s something about Autumn that resonates deep within everybody. Maybe it’s the darkening days that calls us back to a quiet life, maybe it’s the changing leaves that teach us to let go of the things that hold us captive, or maybe it’s the holidays drawing near that bring us back to our roots and our families. Whatever it is we are enjoying this Autumn season and are happy to welcome in the coming days of Winter.
As many of our staff head out on suppor trips Sarah, Adelynn and I are cozying in to our apartment. We just completed two great trips in September and October, one to British Columbia and the other to Minnesota. We were refreshed with good visits with supporters, friends and family. We also got to enjoy our 3 year anniversary on the shores of Lake Superior. It is a beautiful part of Minnesota that we don’t mind visting again!
Things at Camp right now are slowing down which is giving all of us a chance to reconnect with the heart of why we serve at Camp Bighorn. For Sarah and I we are reminded of the values that brought us to Camp, and hope to continue to live out towards our community, our friends, and the students and youth we meet on a seasonal basis. We may have shared them with you before, but we share them again to call us back and to call you back to why we serve at Camp Bighorn.
